Thermacell Tick Control Tubes are the no-spray easy-to-apply way to kill ticks in your yard. They harness nature to kill ticks by working with an unlikely ally: the field mouse - turning mice from tick hosts into tick killers. Thermacell Tick Control Tubes go where sprays can’t reach to kill nymphal and larval ticks that may carry Lyme disease. They work best in the states with above average amounts of deer ticks and high rates of Lyme disease.
How It Works
A)
Young deer ticks feed primarily on mice.
B)
Tick Control Tubes are filled with material treated with permethrin insecticide.
C)
Mice collect the treated material and use it to line their nests.
D)
Ticks feeding on the mice are exposed to the permethrin insecticide and die.
How To Use It
Simply apply Thermacell Tick Control Tubes two times per year, once in the spring and once in the summer.
Place Thermacell Tick Control tubes every 10 yards around areas mice frequent, such as flower beds, bushes, woodpiles, stone walls, and borders abutting woods or fields. They are easy to apply; there's no set-up or clean-up needed.

When To Apply
Tubes can be applied anytime between April and September, but for best results apply tubes in April and July. The first application kills nymphal ticks that feed in May and June; the second application kills larval ticks that feed in August and September. Tubes may also be replaced when nesting material is completely removed. The tubes and unused cotton are biodegradable and may be left on the property.

How Much To Apply
*Just two applications are needed for the entire year. Yards with above average amounts of shrubs, tall grass or woods will need up to 20% more tubes.
*Estimated property coverage area assumes there is 1/8 acre of non-tick habitat, including the house, driveway and lawn.
